Account Executive – Inside Software Sales

Accounting Seed is a rapidly growing accounting software company selling a leading edge application on the Salesforce.com platform. We are the fusion of two disciplines: Information Technology and Accounting.

We are seeking several professional, dynamic Account Executives to join our inside sales team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced, engaging, and collaborative environment and possesses a passion for success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify and qualify opportunities from marketing generated leads and industry-related activities.
  • Pursue conversions with qualified leads that educate and position the value of Accounting Seed software.
  • Present the complete value proposition via customer virtual meetings and telephone calls.
  • Bring to light stakeholders and their roles within prospective client organizations.
  • Detect individual stakeholder needs and pain points, then demonstrate – where applicable – how Accounting Seed software can solve these issues.
  • Deliver high-level, value added product demonstrations with business owners and other senior executives.
  • Consult and engage our team of product experts to clarify and properly answer all prospect questions.
  • Identify and resolve prospect objections as they arise.
  • Manage the prospective customer’s complete buying journey.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidates should possess B2B sales experience (software sales is a plus)
  • Associate’s degree. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in cloud computing – accounting, business processes, and Salesforce is a plus
  • Ability to quickly learn new web-based technologies
  • Confidence, as well as strong verbal & written communication skills when interacting with clients
  • Flexibility, responsiveness, and professional agility to satisfy multiple, parallel opportunities
  • Ability to discover and understand customer needs and meet those needs with a successful product sale

Developer

The Salesforce Developer will support of our Financial Suite application. The candidate must be a self-starter who has the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. Possesses the confidence to work independently and with minimal guidance. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Responsibilities:

  • Programming on Salesforce
  • Providing Tier 3 support
  • Implementing new product features
  • Troubleshooting and debugging code

Requirements:

    • BS or MS in Computer Science or appropriate work experience.
    • Required Certification:  Platform Developer I.
    • Experience in Software Development using Object Oriented Programming such as C++, C#, Java.
    • Experience in developing enterprise software using the Salesforce.com platform
    • Strong expertise on various Salesforce.com APIs like SOAP, REST, BULK, and Streaming APIs
    • Salesforce.com Apex Classes
    • Comprehensive experience debugging and troubleshooting in the Salesforce.com environment.
    • Experience following low-level designs and performing application builds
    • Experience using Javascript for front end-related development desired
    • Ability to work with an implementation team that executes in agile fashion
  • Must be able to work in our Columbia office M – F

Accounting Product Consultant

Accounting Seed is a rapidly growing Accounting software company who sells a leading edge application on the Salesforce.com platform.  We are the fusion of two disciplines: Information Technology and Accounting.

We are looking for a dynamic  Accounting Product Consultant to join our growing team.  You will be responsible for driving the adoption of our application by new users/customers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Become an expert in the use of our cloud-based Accounting and ERP product
  • Coach customers through the process of product adoption
  • Advise and assist with data migration from legacy Accounting solution to Accounting Seed
  • Demonstrate features and functionality to new users
  • Answer user’s questions
  • Advise on best practices in using the product
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to the product development, marketing and technical writing, teams

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting
  • 2+ years experience in Accounting
  • Experience with month-end close activities such as AP/AR reconciliation, and producing finalized Financial Statements
  • Strong customer relationship, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new web-based technologies
  • Confidence, self-starter and strong written and verbal communication skills

Accounting Seed is a rapidly growing accounting software company which sells a leading-edge application on the Salesforce.com platform. We are the fusion of two disciplines: information technology and accounting.

We are in immediate need of an experienced writer/editor to join our sales and marketing department. We’re looking for a copywriter who has a flair for creating value-based content to join our growing marketing team. The successful candidate has the ability to translate technical or complex ideas into concise, business-oriented content/storylines.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Create, edit, and promote written content, including email, newsletters, blogs, case studies, website pages, social media, video scripts, and news/product releases.
  • Collaborate with members of the product development team to write thought leadership articles.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across all written marketing content.
  • Help define a consistent voice and tone for the brand across multiple channels.
  • Work alongside other marketers and content producers to help distribute content that educates and entertains our audience.

     

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
  • 3+ years copywriting experience.
  • Experience in B2B tech environment, a plus.
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
  • Proven experience with search engine optimization (SEO), keyword strategy and content marketing.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Create awareness for Accounting Seed with the following teams at Salesforce.com:
    • Salesforce Account Executives – Mid-Market and below
    • Salesforce Sales Engineers
    • Salesforce Customer Success Representatives
  • Identify and track Office/Manager/Team reporting relationships for targeted Salesforce employees.
  • Create and maintain appropriate records within our sales and marketing databases.
  • Coordinate with other members of the sales and marketing team to accurately log, track, and manage inbound opportunities originated via Salesforce team members.
  • Develop outbound relationships and opportunities with Salesforce team members
  • Ensure relationships are accurately linked to Accounting Seed accounts and contacts via email contact data for all targeted Salesforce team members.
  • Develop Lunch and Learn and other marketing presentations (Salesforce success stories) for Salesforce audiences in coordination with our sales and marketing teams.
  • Identify opportunities and schedule/present Lunch and Learn programs at Salesforce Offices.
  • Work with the marketing team to identify opportunities drive the success of our AMP program investment.
  • Provide feedback to Salesforce employees on joint customer sales success.
  • Work within the Accounting Seed marketing and sales teams to align and communicate messages for each Salesforce team.
  • Assist in the development of sales and presentation materials for communication purposes to recruit, build, and service Accounting Seed /Salesforce relationships.

Salesforce Technical Architect

Accounting Seed is a rapidly growing accounting software company which sells a leading edge application on the Salesforce.com platform.  We are the fusion of two disciplines: Information Technology and Accounting.

We are in immediate need of a Salesforce Architect.

The Salesforce architect will be responsible for the technical design, development, and code review, of the product feature enhancements to the Accounting Seed application. This person will be actively involved in the design sessions with business analysts, the product owner, and other technical team members, and will be expected to bring technology and people leadership skills to the team. This role will actively lead the design, build solution components, develop unit tests, guide testing strategy and play an active role in ensuring quality through the development lifecycle. You must possess a strong ability to work with our leadership team to balance the business needs with the best technical solutions to fulfil those needs. You’ll make an impact by researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, and delivering solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies, and it will be imperative that you are staying well versed in the ever-changing technology stack of the Salesforce platform.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Directly accountable for the conversion of product requirements into an architecture and design that will become the blueprint for the solution being created.
  • Work as part of an agile product development team responsible for the timely execution of assigned tasks, and leverage experience to promote process improvement.
  • Lead conceptual and technical solution design for assigned features improvements to meet business requirements while ensuring compliance with established architectural principles, standards, and processes.
  • Work closely with the CTO to set the high-level technology strategy for Accounting Seed.
  • Understand and apply application architecture standards, policies and procedures.
  • Develop technical artefacts that will support both the development and quality assurance team and Accounting Seed’s customers and partners.
  • Monitor and approve configuration, solution architecture, development and quality assurance aspects of the features.
  • Stay up-to-date on Salesforce’s latest offerings and explore beta/pilot functionality if relevant
  • Provide thought leadership in technical areas of expertise to promote the best of breed culture in application development

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • 10+ years of experience in technical leadership and/or technology consulting on large enterprise projects around applications architecture, and/or technical lead for a third-party application development team.
  • 5 + years of Salesforce development experience along with Salesforce.com Certifications (3 or more) including Communities and Lightning
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com architecture components – sales, service and marketing clouds
  • Ability to define and communicate the “big picture” in terms of the solution (both functional and technical components) and break it down into smaller manageable work units
  • Data modelling skills
  • Familiar with user experience best practices
  • Good analysis and diagnosis skills
  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skill
  • Structured communication
  • Advanced skills in Salesforce application including configuration, triggers, process builders, workflows, visual force, lightning experience, apex coding, batch processes, and database design
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce data model, custom objects, API, governor limits, workflows, and configuration
  • Experience with designing and implementing custom applications on Force.com platform
  • Background in application development using technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with integrating with the Salesforce platform (inbound/outbound) using the REST/SOAP APIs or Data Loader
