Account Executive – Software Sales:

Accounting Seed is seeking several professional, dynamic Account Executives to drive new business for the company. This role will focus on increasing new business opportunities by expanding the prospect pipeline and closing sales. The ability to interact using a consultative sales approach is critical to this role. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced, engaging, and collaborative environment and possesses a passion for success. 


What You’ll Do

  • Identify and qualify opportunities from marketing generated leads and industry-related activities.
  • Pursue conversions with qualified leads that educate and position the value of Accounting Seed software.
  • Present the complete value proposition via customer virtual meetings and telephone calls.
  • Bring to light stakeholders and their roles within prospective client organizations.
  • Detect individual stakeholder needs and pain points, then demonstrate – where applicable – how Accounting Seed software can solve these issues.
  • Deliver high-level, value added product demonstrations with business owners and other senior executives.
  • Consult and engage our team of product experts to clarify and properly answer all prospect questions.
  • Identify and resolve prospect objections as they arise.
  • Manage the prospective customer’s complete buying journey.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ideal candidates should possess B2B sales experience (software sales is a plus)
  • Associate’s Degree. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in cloud computing – accounting, business processes, and Salesforce is a plus
  • Ability to quickly learn new web-based technologies

Developer

The Salesforce Developer will support of our Financial Suite application. The candidate must be a self-starter who has the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. Possesses the confidence to work independently and with minimal guidance. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Responsibilities:

  • Programming on Salesforce
  • Providing Tier 3 support
  • Implementing new product features
  • Troubleshooting and debugging code

Requirements:

    • BS or MS in Computer Science or appropriate work experience.
    • Required Certification:  Platform Developer I.
    • Experience in Software Development using Object Oriented Programming such as C++, C#, Java.

Accounting Product Consultant

Accounting Seed is a rapidly growing Accounting software company who sells a leading edge application on the Salesforce.com platform.  We are the fusion of two disciplines: Information Technology and Accounting.

We are looking for a dynamic  Accounting Product Consultant to join our growing team.  You will be responsible for driving the adoption of our application by new users/customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Become an expert in the use of our cloud-based Accounting and ERP product
  • Coach customers through the process of product adoption
  • Advise and assist with data migration from legacy Accounting solution to Accounting Seed
  • Demonstrate features and functionality to new users
  • Answer user’s questions
  • Advise on best practices in using the product

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

We are seeking a PR / Social Media Specialist to play an integral role in public relations, corporate communications, social media outreach, and content creation for our company.

What You’ll Do

  • Connect with influential media outlets and journalists to place stories about company news and other initiatives.
  • Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and potentially additional channels.
  • Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to both spread our brand and our content and links.
  • Listen and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and leads and from brand new audiences that don’t yet know us.

We are seeking a graphic designer to contribute to the creation and maintenance of all graphics and website design, copy, video, animation, photography, and promotional assets. You are a creative force who can work well with others and understand the nuances of daily project management. Further, you can translate concepts easily to all stakeholders. From concept through execution, this candidate will improve our user experience by bringing our brand to life and keeping it consistent across all our various touchpoints.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with marketing and product marketing teammates to support our website design and content marketing (blog, social media assets, and more).
  • Help bring new ideas for design and content creation to the team using your expertise and eye for great design.
  • Scope and create templates for our marketing team to be more efficient in some of their postings on social media, the blog, email, and other channels.
  • Manage other design needs such as presentations, signage, and trade show collateral as needed.

We are in immediate need of a dynamic Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Sales and Marketing department.

You will be the biggest supporter of our existing contacts list possible — the days of full blasts and spamming are over. In its place, we want you to understand the right nurture tracks to provide incremental value and nudge our leads towards sales in a way that feels human and still converts. We also need you to understand the right types of content to send to the right people at the right time, both for lead nurturing and to boost the sharing and forwarding of our content-driven emails.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and build various email lists and campaigns, including the design templates, calls-to-action, and content used in your email sends.
  • Segment lists based on behaviors like past email engagement and website interactions (content downloads, site page visits, etc.).
  • Measure results and optimize the nurture tracks for these segments to convert leads to customers.
  • Work to minimize list decay and unsubscribes while increasing productivity of our email sends.
  • Develop documentation and roadmaps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience.
  • Past experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and/or web analytics.

Quality Assurance Associate

Accounting Seed is a rapidly growing accounting software company who sells a leading edge application on the Salesforce.com platform.  We are the fusion of two disciplines: Information Technology and Accounting.

The growing entrepreneurial team at Accounting Seed, Inc. in Columbia, MD has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Associate.

The successful candidate will quickly learn the Accounting Seed product, our release management cycle and be able to execute functional tests.  This will provide an excellent foundation to begin contributing to the ongoing development of functional tests for Accounting Seed Financial Suite and Orders & Inventory products. You will work with a product team that uses a development approach closely aligned with the Agile Software Development Methodology.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Testing
    • Execute functional test cases based on test plan
    • Comprehensive testing and tracking of issues in release(s)
    • Identify and communicate high-risk areas to product development team.
    • Maintain and communicate testing status to Release Management
    • Work closely with the Product Support team to understand functional requirements

We are looking for a Business Analyst to work as part of an agile product development team, interacting with SME’s, the QA team, the Development team, and the Release Manager.  You need to be a charismatic, engaging team player able to handle multiple priorities. You should possess an analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Identify and document the functional, business and technical requirements, as well as business processes.
  • Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify and anticipate requirements, and uncover areas for improvement, within the Accounting Seed application.
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies.
  • Effectively document and communicate requirements to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Work closely in a cross-functional team to include customers, product consultants, the development team and managerial staff
  • Perform user acceptance testing.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.

 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
