Partner Business Development Associate

Accounting Seed is a rapidly growing accounting software company selling a leading-edge application on the Salesforce.com platform. We are the fusion of two disciplines: information technology and accounting.

We are currently seeking a partner-centric, highly motivated individual to join Accounting Seed as a Partner Business Development Associate (BDA). As a BDA, you are responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with our global partner community ensuring a high level of engagement, leading to strong sales and growth opportunities. The BDA will be part of the Accounting Seed partner team and will work closely with our partners alongside our sales and marketing teams to ensure our services are delivered successfully and our partners are supported.

In this role, responsiveness is essential and you will need strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for helping partners to be successful. To succeed in this role, you will need an open and entrepreneurial mindset, and a willingness to adapt the way you work to meet our partners’ diverse needs. You will work to ensure that new partners are identified and thoroughly onboarded, that our partner’s sales teams are equipped and enabled to promote Accounting Seed, and that our partners support and technical teams are trained and certified through Accounting Seed University. You will also interact with the key stakeholders within our partners to develop and monitor a successful sales strategy as well as being regularly updated and educated on how we can support them. In addition to your key responsibilities, you will be integral in improving and innovating the global partner practice, developing and implementing processes and ideas that will advance the Accounting Seeds’ partner growth.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Identifying and recruit new partners of Accounting Seeds, manage their onboarding process, and assisting them with any issues
  • Analyze partner activity and work with them to ensure they are building a strong Accounting Seed pipeline and closing new business
  • Ensure that the partner’s sales and marketing teams are fully trained and equipped to find and close new business
  • Help partners to develop and execute lead generation strategies
  • Become an expert in the resources available to our partners and educating them on the use and benefits of our products
  • Help to execute a comprehensive engagement and communications strategy that proactively maintains high partner satisfaction
  • Perform periodic partner success reviews that confirm satisfaction, resolve issues with the help of the product support team, and expand Accounting Seeds use within the partners’ community
  • Develop tools, processes, and best practices to ensure partners are realizing the greatest possible value from Accounting Seed
  • Use usage patterns to gain insights, provide guidance and increase partner satisfaction
  • Serve as the primary interface to manage and resolve any critical situations
  • Work with the sales, marketing, and professional services teams to share partner insights that inform additional product and service sales opportunities
  • Be a partner advocate while capturing partner feedback
  • Manage partner retention/renewals and drive upgrade revenue through increased sales and increased usage
  • Develop tools, processes, and best practices to ensure partners are realizing the greatest possible value from Accounting Seed

 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in a partner-facing role, such as partner success, partner support, or account management
  • Previous experience in partner service for a software product or other related field and plus
  • Possess exceptional partner management and communications skills
  • Proven ability to maintain highly valuable and outcome-based relationships with a diverse partner account base
  • Outstanding multi-task task management skills across a varied set of responsibilities
  • Confident, high energy, self-motivated, and a true team player
  • Ability to build credibility and trust by understanding and addressing partner requirements
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
