Engagement Manager

Accounting Seed is looking for a detail-oriented and customer facing teammate to join our growing team. Some of the critical duties include; understanding and scoping client needs in order to help enable the licensing of our technology, working cross functionally with various internal teams, and helping to improve the sales and product adoption process. This individual will work closely with our sales and implementation teams as well as 3rd party partners to identify and match the clients’ needs from a successful implementation of our package with the optimal resources to assure that success is achieved.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build solid knowledge of Accounting Seed packages and offerings and how they support the client’s business objectives.
  • Gather/document client requirements, define the project scope and the desired business outcomes.
  • Negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders to design, build, and enable delivery for a customer engagement.
  • Ability to lead client-facing meetings to collect, analyze, clarify, and document business requirements and translate client needs into services to produce a detailed solution proposal.
  • Maintains contact with all of the members of a team who are dedicated to providing client satisfaction in order to ensure that goals are being met.
  • Works closely with internal consultants and 3rd party partners to ensure project details and client needs are communicated clearly and fully to the implementation team.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of business consulting or client delivery experience (software implementation or management consulting).
  • Ability to understand the client’s business needs and goals.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively to solve problems using a variety of tools/processes.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate among people of varying technical and business backgrounds, including the ability to explain difficult technical concepts in simple terms to business users.
  • Ability to acquire a detailed level of product knowledge of core Accounting Seed offerings.
  • Develops strategic direction from market information and creates compelling proposals that effectively differentiate Accounting Seed from our competitors.
  • Experience mapping processes/workflows, the ability to actively look for process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Identifies opportunities for business and services expansion, and develops and manages relationships with 3rd party partners and internal resources.
  • Ability to execute against a general set of objectives creatively and in a self-directed manner.
  • Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a similar field.
  • This is a 100% remote position.
